# Market your course

> Generate ready-to-share social media posts for your course with the Vixi Marketing Kit.

Once your course is ready, the **Marketing Kit** helps you spread the word. Vixi generates a set of share-ready images, sized for the places you already post, so you can promote your course without opening a design tool.

## What the Marketing Kit gives you

When you generate a kit, Vixi creates three social media assets for the course you choose:

* **Instagram post** — square, for your main feed.
* **Instagram story** — vertical, for stories.
* **LinkedIn post** — wide, for professional sharing.

Each asset is built from your course, including its avatar, so the posts feel like part of your course rather than a generic template.

<Note>
  You need at least one course before you can make a kit. If you have not created one yet, the page invites you to **Create Course** first. See [The course creation wizard](/creating/wizard) to get started.
</Note>

## Generate your kit

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the Marketing Kit">
    In the sidebar, click **Marketing Kit**. The page opens with an example preview so you can see what a finished kit looks like.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose your course">
    Under **Choose your course**, pick the course you want to promote. You can type in the field to search through your courses if you have a lot of them.

    <Tip>
      If you click generate before picking a course, the selector turns red and shows **You must select a course first**. Just choose a course and try again.
    </Tip>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Generate the kit">
    Click **Generate my kit**. The button shows **Generating…** while Vixi works. The three assets appear one by one as each finishes, so you do not have to wait for all of them at once.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Download your posts">
    Each finished asset has a **Download** button. Click it to save the image to your device, ready to upload to your social accounts.
  </Step>
</Steps>

<Note>
  Downloaded files are named after your course and the asset type (for example, the Instagram post size for that course), which makes them easy to find later.
</Note>

## Tips for sharing

* Post the **Instagram story** version as a story and the **Instagram post** version in your feed for wider reach.
* Use the **LinkedIn post** image when you announce your course to your professional network.
* Pair each image with a short caption and your course link. You can grab a shareable link from your course's share options — see [Publish and share](/publishing).

    The example you see before generating is a sample kit from another Vixi course. It is only there to show you the formats and quality. Choose your own course and generate to get posts made for you.

  <Accordion title="Can I generate a kit for any of my courses?">
    Yes. Use the **Choose your course** selector to switch between courses, and generate a separate kit for each one.

  <Accordion title="The posts use my course avatar — can I change them?">
    The kit is built from your course, including its avatar. If you want different artwork in your posts, update the course's avatar first, then generate the kit again. See [Avatars and voice](/avatars).
