Knowledge sources are pieces of your own content that Vixi uses to make a course sound like you. When you add your writing or your documents, the AI draws on them to tailor its questions, match your voice, and ground its lessons in your real material. Everything you add lives in your Sources library, so you only paste or upload a piece of content once and can reuse it across any number of courses.
Open your library from the Sources item in the left sidebar at create.vixiai.co, or add sources right inside the course creation wizard while you build a course.

What you can add

Your Sources library is organized into tabs:
TabWhat it holds
LinkedIn postsThe text of posts you’ve written on LinkedIn
X postsThe text of posts you’ve written on X
FilesPDF, Word, and PowerPoint documents
PodcastsComing soon
For LinkedIn and X, you paste the text of the post itself — not a link. For files, you upload the document and Vixi extracts the text for you.

Add a LinkedIn or X post

1

Open the right tab

In your Sources library, select the LinkedIn posts or X posts tab.
2

Click Add more posts

Click the Add more posts card. A dialog opens with a text box.
3

Paste your post

Paste the full text of your post into the box, then click Save.
Your post drops into the top of the list, and you’ll see a confirmation that it was added to your library.
There’s no need to format your post — just paste it as-is. Vixi reads the words, not the styling.

Edit or remove a post

Each post card has two small icon buttons:
  • Edit (pencil) opens the full post text so you can change it.
  • Delete (trash) removes the post from your library after a confirmation step.
To remove several posts at once, click the small circle in the top-right corner of each card to select it, then use the Delete button in the bar that appears at the bottom of the screen.
Deleting a source is permanent and can’t be undone. Any course you’ve already generated from that source stays exactly as it is — deleting the source only removes it from your library so you can no longer reuse it.

Add a file

You can upload a PDF, Word (.doc / .docx), or PowerPoint (.ppt / .pptx) document. Vixi extracts the text and adds it to your library as knowledge you can use in any course.
1

Open the Files tab

In your Sources library, select the Files tab, then click Add files.
2

Choose or drop a file

Drag a file onto the drop zone, or click it to pick a file from your computer.
3

Wait for the text to be extracted

Vixi processes the file and pulls out its text. When it’s done, the file appears in your list with its page count.

File requirements

Accepted formats: PDF, Word (.doc, .docx), and PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx).
Length: between 1 and 100 pages or slides per file.
Size: up to 25 MB per file.
If a file is the wrong type, too large, or outside the page range, you’ll see a clear message explaining why so you can adjust and try again.

View an uploaded file

Once a file is in your list, click View on its card to open the page viewer. You can step through the document one page at a time to confirm the text came through correctly.

Using sources while you create a course

You don’t have to visit the library first. You can also add and reuse sources directly inside the course creation wizard. On the wizard’s first step, you’ll see cards for adding LinkedIn content, X content, and Files to the course you’re building. Each card opens a popup where you can:
  • Paste a new post (for LinkedIn or X) or upload a new file, and
  • Add from sources — pick from posts and files already saved in your library.
When you add a brand-new LinkedIn or X post inside the wizard, it’s kept with your course as you build. It’s saved to your Sources library once you move past the first step, so you can reuse it next time. Files are saved to your library as soon as you upload them.
When you reuse a saved source for a course, removing it from that course only takes it off that course — the original stays safe in your library for next time.

How Vixi uses your sources

The content you add does real work behind the scenes:
  • For posts, Vixi uses your writing to tailor the clarifying questions it asks during course creation, so they match your voice and topics.
  • For files, Vixi uses the extracted text as knowledge it can draw on when generating your lessons.
The more of your own material you add, the more the finished course reflects your genuine expertise.

Frequently asked questions

No. Paste the text of the post itself, not a link. The dialog title even reminds you: “not URL.”
Yes. That’s the whole point of the library — add a post or file once, then pick it for any course using Add from sources.
No. Deleting a source only removes it from your library. Any course you’ve already generated from it stays intact.
Vixi extracts text from your document automatically. After upload, use View to page through the file and confirm the text came through. If a file can’t be processed, you’ll see a message asking you to try another one.
